Do I need to reapply with amendments?

We have received planning permission and a building warrant for an internal extension into our loft. We are now considering moving where we want the stairs. The alterations do not affect the main supporting wall.
Do I need to reapply for the planning permission or building warrant? How much will this cost? How long should it take?first-floor

This seem to be a sensible place to put the stair and leaves a far better Kitchen. I don’t know what your roof pitch height is but would note you need to have 2 metres above the pitch line of your stair treads it would be worth checking this would work.

The revised stair position would need an amendment to your building warrant application if already approved, fees on the council side would be £100 if the additional cost is involved in the revised location does not exceed £5000.

You should check with your architect the fee for revised drawings.

Unlikely an amendment to planning permission would be required unless you live in a listed building or conservation area. This may also depend on what your plans are for the upper floor, dormers, velux’s etc…

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for using Do I Need Permission.
