en suite and velux conservation area

Do I Need Permission - Ask An Expert Hi

Do I require planning permission within a flat to convert a storage cupboard into an en-suite and to install a velux window? The property is within a conservation area but the building is not listed.

Thanks

Mark

    Hi Mark.

You would need conservation consent for the Velux window it may not be required for the internal alteration but can depend of the extent of what permitted development rights have been removed for your particular conservation area.

You would need building warrant permission for the Velux window and the en-suite conversion.

Thanks for using Do I Need Permission.
