Garden Shed Electricity

Garden Shed Electricity

Do I Need Permission - Ask An Expert

Hi,

I’d like to have a garden shed with electric supply. Do I need to get someone to check if the electric installation complies with the building standards after it has been set up by a professional? Or submit any documents that’d prove that it does?

Thank you.

    Hi Bryan.

You would not need to apply for a building warrant or require any certification to install electrics in a garden shed.

For your own piece on mind we would recommend getting any electrical work carried out by a qualified electrician ensuring the installation complies with current electrical safety and installation guidance which may include the use of breakers and suitable armoured ducting if required.

Thanks for using Do I Need Permission.
