Installing a stud wall and ensuite shower/toilet

Do I Need Permission - Ask An Expert Do I need planning permission to install a stud portion wall and an ensuite shower room. The shower room and toilet would use existing waste and water supplies.

    Hi Richard.

    As you are adding a WC you would need to apply for a building warrant.

    If you were only adding a shower you would not need permission.

    Hi Catherine.

    Yes if you are installing a WC you need to apply for building warrant.

    You can create a shower room without building warrant but as soon as you put a WC in you need to apply.
