Installing velux roof terrace

Do I Need Permission - Ask An Expert I live in Edinburgh in an upper flat where I had my loft converted with 4 velux windows which I required a building warrant for. Where one window is in the back of the flat I want to change it to the velux gel roof terrace with four windows and a ledge for putting plants on none of this exceeding from the roof angle more than 2.5 cm. Because I have a building warrant for my attic conversation previous do I need planning permission or a building warrant for this work.

  1. Hi Keith.

As the property is a flat you would require both planning permission and a building warrant for this alteration.

Thanks for using Do I Need Permission.
