Internal Doorway

Internal Doorway

We have a box room next to our bedroom. It has internal windows into our bedroom and also into the dining room. We wish to turn the window between our room and the box room into a doorway so the room can be used for storage/walk in wardrobe. Will we need to get permissions for this? The wall is a stud plaster-and-lath internal wall and is not load bearing.

Thanks.

    Craig.

This would require a building warrant.

You would not need planning permission unless you live in a listed building or conservation area.

Note that a store over 4 metres sq requires to be ventilated.

Thanks for using Do I Need Permission.
