    Hello Anne.

With regards to planning permission we are not aware of any restriction in planning as to what you can have where it is for personal enjoyment. If this was for a business planning permission may be required for change of use.

The housing you have for the rabbits may fall under similar permitted development for garden sheds.

•Is located to the rear of the property (behind the front elevation or elevation that faces a road).
•It does NOT exceed 4 metres in height (3 metres to eaves).
•Any part of the building within 1 metre of the boundary does NOT exceed 2.5 metres in height.
•The building footprint is NOT greater than 50% of the properties outside space.
•Is NOT in a conservation area, unless it is under 4 square metres.
•Is NOT within the boundary of a listed building. (Not sure if your property is listed?
•Is not part of a flat, apartment, or tenement.

You may also find there are other regulation to look at in regards to environmental health.

The only other issue you may have is in many new build developments or rented properties the developer or landlord put restrictions on the number of animals you can have, this is normally noted in the deed of conditions or tenancy agreement for your property.

Thanks for using Do I Need Permission.
