Planning permission to brick up external door
I currently live in a one bedroom ground floor flat. As far as I understand, the flat used to be a shop but was bought and renovated into a studio flat. The original shop door was just replaced with a blank door which can make heat escape from my living room pretty quick. Would I need planning permission to remove the wooden ‘door’ currently in its place and have a stonemason insulate and cover this part of the wall up? I understand I would probably have to replace the gap with stone to match the rest of the building as it was originally built in 1890. I have attached a photo of the required space I wish to cover.
