    Hi Neil.

This work doesnt normally require planning permission unless you live in a listed building, conservation area or your property is part of a flat or apartment.

You may require a building warrant if you are making an alteration to the structure of the roof i.e. cutting trusses etc…

Thanks for using Do I Need Permission.

    Hello Neil

As has been said, provided that the bungalow is not listed or in a conservation area, you should not need planning permission. The only thing that you might want to check with the Council is that there is no planning condition or Article 4 direction in place that removes permitted development rights from your property..

    Regards

    Mike
